Throttle body spacers?

I currently have the VOLANT cai and wondering if I could add a throttle body spacer to add more mid-low end power and torque. Not sure I think I seen it before. If so what is a good brand and website to buy.
Thanks

Please excuse my ignorance, but how would adding a spacer improve power in a certain rpm range??

I'm in if it works (low rpm boost)

The spacer is supposed to rotate the air to help it flow better or something like that. I have no experience with them. Most of what I read said it doesn't do anything on fuel injected engines. You just end up with a whistling noise from the air going over the rifling on the sides.

Question Does it work or not?

I dont get it some people stated it really doesn't work, just a bunch of loud whistling noise and then another guy tries to sell one without stating any pros or cons? So whats the benefits if any?http://www.toyotatundraforum.com/images/icons/icon5.gif

In a carburetor, the air and gas mix and then is fired. Those were directly replaced with throttle bodies for a central fuel injection. If you create more air turbulence, then you get a better mixture. The TBS is designed to spin the air as it enters the throttle body and improve the air mix and burn better. That was why they added power on older engines. On a modern engine, the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder. So spinning the air shouldn't do much.
