Unichip P-N-P piggyback release

Looks like Unichip has released the Plug-N-Play piggyback tuner the 5.7 and other applications. Here is the link to Unichip.
Toyota Performance Chips, Uni Chip Tuning, Tundra, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Lexus

For TS members, it look like a group buy has been worked out. $599 (lists for $778) for the GB price. Dyno results are supposed to be available soon. One guy already has one, but I can't open the link with the dyno chart.

I'll be more interested once the dyno results are in.

Sounds interesting, but I'll probably wait for PnP #2 which should be cheaper. Oh yeah, independent dyno would be necessary on either of them.

What's the PnP #2?

Unichip is looking for modified trucks in the area of their facility to be tuned on a dyno. The owners will have the dyno sheets for a before/afterward. I don't see why they wouldn't post them.

I wonder if they would send on to my local area Unichip tuner? I have CAI, Headers and Catback.

They're looking to get a wide variety of modified trucks, so I wouldn't be surprised if they'd like to get your truck on the dyno. Send 'em an email and see what they say!

I just mean the second tuner to come out. First one is usually the most expensive. I'd prefer there were at least options and others with experience with the product first.

If they were in my area looking for a truck to dyno, I'd probably do it.

Anyone have any experience with the hardwired version of Unichip. They are willing to send me one to try for mpg testing, but they won't have p-n-p harnesses until the end of July. Not a free unit, just a discount. Wondering if it is worth using the hardwire. It actually only splices one wire. The rest are clamped with a clamshell type clamp and don't leave a trace (or very little) when you remove it.

Go for it if the discount is good enough. Look at the install instructions when you get it and if you don't like it, hang onto it until you can get a pnp harness later.

I'm in no rush. I'll be sitting back and seeing which unit is easier to use and provides good results.
