The Volant CAI made my muffler louder than it was with the stock CAI. Sounds pretty good now.
Thanks for the info.

The Volant CAI is probably going to be my next investment...

I guess what I am asking is just a muffler swap and resonator removal on crewmax?

SEEING THOSE PICS, THEY REALLY HAVE TO BEND PIPES!!
I had the resonator removed on my CM.

I don't know much about air flow and it's effect on sound levels through a flow, but I would imagine a dual in/single out would be louder since you're channeling out more exhaust through a single outlet.

I complain that it's too mild, but I think it will suffice in the long run or when I have company in the back.

I just bought a Flowmaster 50 from amazon.com for $104 and free shipping. Didn't know amazon did stuff like that so I am a bit concerned but it's only $100 if it doesn't work out. I also bought the Volant CAI so I am looking forward to getting this all set up.

Amazon carries a lot of automotive stuff now. They also have vendors that sell through their company.

Flowmaster Super 44 Series Mufflers

The most aggressive, deepest-sounding street and strip muffler Flowmaster has ever made!

Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers offer distinct advantages over original 40 Series mufflers, while using the same technology as the Super 40 mufflers. The Super 44 mufflers deliver a deep, rich tone with an improved flow path radius, optimum internal flow, and sound control engineering, all created with Flowmaster's Delta Flow technology. The Super 44s are the most aggressive, deepest sounding, highest performing 4 in. case street mufflers that Flowmaster has ever built. These American-made, all-black mufflers exceed OEM specifications for use on street cars, race cars, and sport trucks. They are ideal when dynamic sound, torque, and horsepower improvements are demanded in a smaller high performance muffler. Their maximum performance and improved flow path will generate more torque and power than ever before! If you really want to hear your exhaust system inside as well as outside of your vehicle, these Super 44 Flowmaster mufflers are for you.

Im gonna get these for my Baby, just cant decide how to do the piples i like how T did his .. .. straight to the back or is it just personal preference>?

My concern was that I bought a $104 book on Flowmaster exhausts, lol. Actually when I was paying I was never able to see a complete description of the exhaust. I didn't know the pipe diameters etc.

The exhaust is in I just have to pick it up at the shippers so I'll let you know how it looks.

I like mine dumped in front of the axle. But it's all personal preference. The pipes and the tips can change the sound of the exhaust.

I'm actually contemplating changing mine. The muffler, not the dumped tips.

Oh yeah, I took my cousin's 3 boys fishing recently. I gassed the truck turning from a light to get in front of an on-coming truck and the boys LOVED the sound the truck made. They kept wanting me to gas it the whole rest of the day. They kept telling me to make the VROOOM sound as we passed different people on the road.
