2007 Exhaust Question - Replace All?

Has anyone changed the complete exhaust system on their Tundra, including the cats and basically right from the exhaust headers on the engine? I have the TRD duals from Toyota and with almost 10 years of winter seasons now the exhaust is looking pretty corroded and rusty. I'm getting tired of scrubbing the TRD rear pipes and tips with CLR each spring and basically everything from the muffler to the engine including the Cats don't appear to be in great shape. Has anyone considered taking everything out and starting with new or am I crazy to even bother?

The cats are pretty expensive. You don't want to replace those unless you have to. You can get new exhaust that will run from behind the cats all the way to the back and it's all bolt-on. You can even get it all in Stainless Steel so you don't have to worry about it again.

Unless you have spots that have rusted through, I wouldn't replace the exhaust. So what if the outside of the piping looks bad? Maybe just have an exhaust shop put in some turn downs under your bed so you don't have any tips to look at? That's what I did - had the exhaust dump just past the rear axle.

I initially did this, however too much sound was reflecting of the road and back into the cab. Having the pipes extended over the axle fixed that.
