2008 Toyota Sequoia Grill onto Toyota Tundra?

I took some pictures of the grill off the new 2008 Sequoia which seemed to be a bolt on to the hood. Anyone want to give it a shot later?

Thanks for the pictures.

I'd have to look under my hood to be sure, but I think it should swap out pretty easily. The main difference is that it doesn't have that black plastic piece at the top of the chrome with the screws behind it.

Maybe someone can find a Sequoia owner who would be willing to swap grilles.

I think it will leave an unsightly gap on the bottom, where the grille meets the bumper. From the pictures, it looks like the Tundra grille comes an inch lower into the bumper when compared to the "flatter" Sequoia grille.

By the way, all pictures are from the 2008 North American International Autoshow in LA. I'll try to post some more pictures up from the auto show on the other thread.

After looking at it carefully, it looks like it'll fit the Tundra. I plan on swapping out or ordering one ASAP. I hate the faux "opening" on the Tundra. There's a guy that used plastic filler to fill the gap and paint it. He said the screws behind the black plastic piece were irrelevant.

Let us know how it works out...I am pretty skeptical about the fit on the bottom of the grille but I hope it looks good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps, but paying $200+ for the grille (or more, if it's only available in chrome) is probably not worth losing the insert, especially when yours will be red anyways!

I have an 08 sequoia and I dont think the grills can be swapped. I tried taking off my grill but could not complete the task because grill is attached to hood at the top with some sort of holders but i cannot get to them to find out how to remove them. I dont think toyota knows either

Look at it from the underside. I read they replaced the screws at the top of the grille (under the black hood piece on the Tundra) with tabs that can be seen from behind the grille.

Edit: I looked at the first post again and couldn't see any tabs in the pictures. I could be mistaken.
