Diamondback Covers

Got this in an e-mail from Diamondback. Anyone interested in reviewing a new cover they are making can get what looks like a good deal.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

DiamondBack is currently finishing development on a new line of covers slated to be called the DiamondBack LT. These covers are a lighter gauge, lighter duty cover, but still provide the same security and access of any DiamondBack Truck Cover. The covers are made of .063" thick smooth plate aluminum and covered with LINE-X Xtra protective coatings. These covers, unlike our other covers, aren't designed to carry top load. The covers provide front and rear bed access, can be folded or removed to accommodate tall cargo and lock securely under the bedrails of the truck.

As part of the pre-launch of this product line - DiamondBack is offering an exclusive offer to current DiamondBack prospects and friends or family of DiamondBack Truck Cover owners. For a limited time, you can get a new DiamondBack LT for a short bed or midsize truck for $649 + shipping and a long bed for $749 + shipping. DiamondBack is asking that all participants be willing to provide images of the cover on their truck and a brief product review to be used on a promotion website.

If you or someone you know is looking for a great cover at a low cost during this economic season, please email info@diamondbackcovers.com or call 800.935.4002 and reference this email.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mods...please feel free to delete this post if it's not allowable, just trying to pass on an opportunity to fellow members who might be in the market for a cover.

The info they gave me is that it will be exactly like their existing covers with a couple differences. It's a lighter gauge material so it's not load bearing on top of the cover like the others and it's coated with LineX and Xtra. For pics you could go to DiamondBack :: Covers as Tough as Your Truck and look at the other covers. I would love to do it but I can't convince my wife of how much I "need" it.

Wow....and I just ordered the Diamondback SE with the LIne-X for my 08 Crewmax. It hasn't been shipped yet so I'm calling them tomorrow to see about this "LT" cover you mentioned. Couldn't find anything on their website about it. I don't plan on hauling anything but do plan to stand on the cover during cleaning of the truck duties...etc.
Thanks for the heads up. If this works out I'll save some $!!. I ordered mine through a tonneau cover website....best deal I could find was $1199....including shipping! Everyone else was $200 -$300 more! I'd love to save 500 or 600 by going with this "LT" model!!! Hope I can get it all to come together!

Mega, you have to e-mail them at the address in the above post or call that toll-free number. When you do, tell them that a friend told you about a product test e-mail of the new LT cover. You won't find it on the website yet since I don't think it's been released yet. They are looking for people to get photographs and testimonials from. BTW, I don't work for LineX and I'm not getting any kind of kickback, etc. I've been in the market for one and I got this e-mail from them regarding the offer.

Well, I can sure help you folks, I'm a LINE-X dealer and an authorized DiamondBack dealer. But, even though it's coated with LINE-X, I'm not sure I would want to go to a lighter gauge than the SE model (.08). Toolboxes are typically .063.

We've sold several DiamondBack-X covers but I'm pretty sure they were SE models.

Typically, you can order only black LINE-X (with Xtra) from DiamondBack, but a LINE-X dealer can apply any color, like this gray one:

Sort of related: TruckCoversUSA has also teamed up with LINE-X and you can order an American Work Cover with black LINE-X Xtra.

Anyway....so far...I have not recieved my cover. Talked to the guy at DiamondBack...was promised 2nd Day Air......a lie! I received a bunch of b.s. when I talked them AGAIN. Thinking of refusing the shipment when it arrives. I don't like being lied to..not at that price!!!! Ha!
