| yep...I do have it on my 2010 2wd, not that bad but I only have 5000kms on it, Will it get worse???. Does it only happen on concrete hi ways...no...all highways in my neck of the woods are asphalt. Has anyone got any info from any dealer on this issue? Before I bought mine, I did see the video where it compares the Tundra bounce to the ford and gm....the Tundra video didn't look to good, but I wrote it of to domestic marketing...I was wrong...the issue does exist. Now, is it something that will continue and eventually cause long term concerns, ie the bed twisting so much that it will be permanently distorted or even to an extreme, come loose. Has anyone got any reasoning or real explanation from Toyota and or a fix without sinking $$$ into a very expensive truck. Now way in hell will I be putting new shocks, springs, lift, lower kits on a brand new truck to correct a design fault. I know this issue has been previously beaten to dead on the site but I have yet to see any real solutions offered by Toyota or even an acknowledgment from Toyota. Does any have any new input into the issue. Thanks

| I have experienced it a little on my 2010 but, I don't think more or less than on my 2007. I think the "bed bounce" problem is a function of wheelbase and frame design - none of which have changed since the launch of the "new" Tundra in 2007. re.ac.tor

| When I'm experiencing the "bed bounce" issue, I will look in my rear view mirror and focus on the top of the tailgate section. I just see it bounce up and down as if it was a bowl of jello...it sucks. And when I look at the side view mirrors, from the wheels to the rear bumper, it looks worse. I honestly don't know anything about engineering, but this is my guess.... I wonder if they moved back the wheelbase closer to the rear bumper, would that solve the issue? When I'm looking at the bed bounce, it seems that its unbalanced, it or that the frame is weak in that area. From what I noticed, the bouncing starts from the rear wheels to the rear bumpers, in that that area and makes it progressively worse and transfers that vibration to the rest of the bed. Next time its happening to you guys, watch it closely and see if its similar. I don't know that if its that specific area only because I can see that specific area, or its the entire bed of the truck. But I do strongly think that its the rear section that is causing the entire bed to move more than it should. Let us know what you other guys think. Re.ac.tor, Is there a benefit of the "function of the wheelbase and frame design?" or this is a clear flaw in the design? Dan |

This subject has been discussed at length on just about all of the Tundra forums ever since the '07s came out. I think what everyone has decided is that the bed bounce happens on certain roads/freeways where the undulation frequency of the road at certain times causes the "perfect storm" for the Tundra in terms of the wheelbase length & the back part of the frame being an open C-channel design and you get the bed-bounce phenomenon. Some have solved the problem by adding some weight to the bed. If I remember correctly one guy stuffed a towel or something between the spare tire and the bed and that seemed to help. re.ac.tor |

| Re.ac.tor Thanks for the info. I actually haven't been to any other forums, I pretty much joined this one (its the best) and have been trying to learn and read as much as I can about our trucks. I just recently started to keep up and post to this forum on a regular basis and probably have missed some posts on this issue. I wonder how far back these posts go, or if you can search for them? | Dan, Well we think we have the best Tundra forum too!! Try this very informative thread for starters: http://www.toyotatundraforum.com/sus...dra-frame.html After that you can type in "bed bounce" into the search engine and many threads will appear (not all of them having to do strictly with bed bounce). Happy reading!! re.ac.tor |

| Yah I think Toyota is letting it go. I am gonna mod my truck so I honestly if you have plans, you might aswell geet them going and resolve the issue so you wont have to deal with it.
