Truxedo Lo-Pro QT Tonneau Installed.

Got the new Truxedo Lo-Pro QT tonneau in today. Pretty quick delivery from Kansas considering I ordered it this past weekend. I was hoping to get it by friday.

It's very easy to install. You'll be done by the time you finish a beer. The second beer is for standing back and admiring the look. You don't really need the instructions, but if you use them, they are easy to follow. So since their instructions are pretty spot on, this'll be pretty much all pictures.

Open the back there it is. No packing materials inside, but I guess it didn't need it since nothing was damaged.

Here's the clips for the deck rail tracks. Three per side. You need to remove and reinstall the tie downs to put these in loosely.

Then I just laid the rails on top to position it.

Ah dang, forgot my beer.

So then I just positioned the clamps over the screws, adjusted the height of the rails and screwed them down. You need a 13mm wrench to tighten them down.

Hmmm, haven't eaten dinner yet. Better fire up the grill. Looks good doesn't it?

So while that cooked, I finished the other side and popped on the cover. The cover is just put in place and a latch on each side holds it down. very simple.

Here's a reference for height. I didn't have a tape measure close by.

I'll get more pics in the sun tomorrow.

Thanks. I almost went with the grey interior since it is so much easier to keep clean. But then decide I liked the tan with the dark blue much better. And I can live with the brown dash, it's something different and maybe will hide some of the dust between cleanings.

The best price I found was this guy on ebay. There is another guy with free shipping, but even with shipping included, this guy is cheaper. His ad doesn't say Truxedo Lo-Pro QT in it so he doesn't come up in Lo-Pro searches.

titanse05, glad to hear you like your cover. The only thing I might be worried about is a little sag from the heat. The tension springs should take care of that.

Had some potato salad to go with it. Good stuff.

Driving with the tonneau seemed a little strange at first. I'm used to seeing the blue tailgate in the rear mirror and today I just saw the black tonneau instead. It does shimmy a little from the wind while driving, but not too bad.

I did notice it bows up a little when I close the tailgate and sucks down a little when I open the tailgate. Guess it's fairly well sealed on top. I just need to seal around the sides of the tailgate to keep water from coming in there and I should be good to go.

Be sure to pull the velcro as tight as you can side-to-side. This eliminates any sag and cuts down on movement while driving.

Your cover does have a couple support bars doesn't it?

Yeah, I pull it side to side when pressing down the velcro. And there are I think 3 supports. I had the springs set a little loose when I was driving. I haven't climbed under the cover yet to set the correct tension yet. When I said I might worry about the sag, I meant in 4 or 5 years after a couple years of Texas heat beating down on it.
