With this one, you cut out the factory grille and put this in its place. with an overlay, you still have the factory grille in the back and it might be noticeable, but I think only to those who really look for it since the polished grille is so close together.

Just installed my carriage works black tonight. Pretty straight forward. I didn't realize how much chopping was required until I read the instructions. I installed it the same way as Tox, right up almost flush with the edge of the black insert. Looks cool, I got the emblem remount kit but I am not sure if I will use it. It looks pretty mean without it.

Nice. I think installing it almost flush looks the best. Put up some pictures when you get a chance.

Has anyone seen the brushed finish with this grille? Or better yet have a picture of it

I was leaning all the way to the dark side when I saw it comes in a brushed finish.
