So instead I fixed my fog lights.

I'll start drilling the bumper tomorrow. I have a 7/8" bimetal hole saw for the job so I can't really step up the hole size. My goal is to not destroy the chrome on the bumper. I'll take plenty of pictures.

The sensors were purchased from here:
Parking Sensor Backup Sensors Wireless Parking Sensor Kit

I bought the top ones in a silver color to kinda blend with the bumper.

The rear leads are pretty short so that it can be installed in a trunk. I'm thinking maybe I can install these behind the tail light and just put a plastic bag over it. They recommend behind a truck tail light if it's dry. The bag might work.

I'm thinking that I could install the display unit in one of the overhead compartments if it will reach. That way I can hear the beeps and open the compartment to turn it off or see the display if needed. I don't know for sure yet.
Watch the "brains" and moisture. I installed a low-end sensor unit and with short leads I put the electronics in TWO ziplock bags, wrapped them in ducktape, and affixed behind the tail light. Lasted just 2 weeks and a couple of rainstorms. The water made its way in and that was the end of it.
