| great writeup... Tox! I want a little more detail on removing the overhead compartment please. You stated to start @ the rear..... I am reading a set of "backup camera install" instructions and they call for a special tool to get that back section (covering the torx screws) How did you remove that thing... without breaking it??? I am assuming that you did not purchase a special tool? Did not want to just start prying @ it with a screwdriver.

| I didn't have any special tool. If you want to be gentle, wrap some electrical tape around a flat head screwdriver and gently pry it open at the rear edge. Or if you want to be manly about it, you can easily pop it out with your fingers. Put your fingers against the rear edge of the cover (put your nails in the crack if you have nails) and lightly push toward the front of the truck a little and down. The cover pops right off with little effort.

| I have a feeling the first time I make it out to Cali, there will be an earthquake. Storms give you a warning they are coming, quakes don't. |

![]() Otherwise I know where my bumpers are and pretty good judge how much room I have.. Backing up a bit more pain. and give myself some extra leeway.

I was wondering a similar question... I have a limited and have verified I have the wiring, and now have the bumber with cutouts. What else is needed, other than the sensors? Do I need some sort of computer or screen? I had to get a new bumper due to a recent dent and was able to pick up a new bumper with the cutouts for $120, so I wanted to investigate the possiblity of sensors. Thanks...JN |

| I rarely ever use it. It still works. I never sealed any of the plugs and never put anything over it. The driver's side has the gas shock for the tailgate so it might not have room for what you plan to put in there. Course it might have plenty of room. Ignore the hose and filter on the left of the picture, I put those in there. |
