I am looking at adding some driving lights on my 2010 CM (the wife gave me permission, finally).
So I am looking for what are the best driving lights in terms of distance and brightness (street legal, of course) and how to mount them. I looked at the westin bullbar, but find ti expensive for just the purpose of mounting lights. I also looked at the PIAA 520 driving lights.

ls let me know what you recommend and if you have pics, that would be great also.

I have been replacing my stock bulbs with leds slowly but surely over time. I ordered v-leds.com high power led bulbs and replaced my map lights, dome lights, driver's footwell, courtesy bulbs and glove box bulbs. I also attempted to replace the cargo lights as well but had a doa bulb so I left the originals in there. This was all done in one late evening. I did not remove the battery (as it is tough to see if the bulb is in correctly without power) as was suggested by another forum member. Anyway, with the exception of the cargo area, all other bulbs are doing well and look great. No problem... except that i have been realizing things are not working since then. My windows have no power (or just don't work) any longer. My parking brake alarm doesn't work. My automatic off headlight feature no longer works. And, my seatbelt warning no longer works. I don't know if anything else has been affected but I haven't noticed anything else wrong.

So far I have had some advice to disconnect the battery to reset the computer... this didn't work. Then it was suggested that I put all of the original bulbs back and see if it works again. I have not done that because I got rid of some of the bulbs and was hoping to find a member that would know another option or something to hone in on first before I go buy bulbs that I dont really want. Plus, everything was working and I have had leds successfully prior in the turn signals, brake, backup, license plate, front courtesy, and have hids. So, I am assuming that there is a computer or relay or fuse issue. But, there seems to be no obvious fuse or relay for the windows to my knowledge. Can anyone help me with this before I have to backpeddle and run to the dealership with my tail between my legs?

Thanks so much in advance for any help!

Well I finally got the the Gauges and Dash Mod finished! I want to give a special Thanks to Toxarch for all of his hard work and help because I definitely could not have done it without him! If you like this Mod but are a little iffy on doing the soldering yourself I HIGHLY recommend sending them to Tox. He is a very honest and great guy and he will do you right for sure!! If you are interested be sure to send Tox a message on here and he will work something out for you! Thanks again Tox!

After owning Toyota's for a long time, I am starting to wonder what their designers are thinking. I have owned a 1984 4x4 pickup,a 1998 and 2006 Tacoma's that were all good pickups. The Tundra is great, but how do you shut off the DRL's on this truck. My 06 you could use the ebrake trick but the Tundra when doing the same a warning buzzer goes off once you get over 5 MPH. While I am driving the backroads getting to my hunting areas, I don't want the drl's on.

How can these be bypassed on the 2009? I have unhooked all of the ground wires on the inner fender next to the battery as can be done on some of the older models. This does not work on the 2009.

Pictures help if someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Well guys I just broke down and ordered a switch to fit in the blanks. I think this might be just a little taller than the factory. I plan on adding some lights on the bumper one of these days and decided I should order one now. It takes like 20+ days to get it I guess. Pretty cheap though, like $20 after shipping.

Here's the guys store. He pretty much always has these switches.
eBay Store - Weeone Store: Door Handles, Lighting Lamps, Other Interior
I think these fog light companies might be buying from him. If you look at his feedback most of his sells are all 15 items at a time to one buyer. He has a pretty good rating too.

I'll let everyone know how it turns out when I get it!!
I am thinking that I should be able to tap into the cargo light wire somewhere. The LEDs run on 12V so I'm hoping it would be pretty straight forward once I find the right location to tap into.
