This past weekend I installed new speakers in my truck and when I put the kick panel bak in on the driver's side I noticed that the keyless remote entry wouldn't work.

I didn't mess with any wires other than those to do with the speakers. I can still lock my truck, arm the alarm and disarm the alarm with the remote. The only thing the remote won't do is unlock the doors.

Anyone have any ideas how I could fix this? I'd prefer to not have to take it to a mechanic or the dealership if I can avoid it.

Thank goodness for the geniuses on this site!

I have purchased a COBRA inverter 400 / 800 with USB port for my Mustang. From what I have read its much better to hard wire vs use the Cig lighter plug. Thinking I would do this while I have the car torn apart for Dynamat but I'm getting a lot of folks saying just use the plug!

SO .................. oh wise ones ..........please guide me. No one on the Stang sites has used or installed one of these but I found the above thread with some great information.

If the world were ideal I would hard wire both vehicles and then transport the unit back and forth. How practicle is that and what or how do you cap the ends of the wires when they are not in use as I assume they are live wires? I will use it mostly for camera batteries and laptop charging on long road trips.

Thanks in advance once again for helping a newbie!!!

Hello All,
I am needing to get a new set of jumper cables. On my previous truck I had thought about installing the type of cable that is hard-wired to the battery and has a connector in the grill / bumper area. The actual cable just plugs into the connector and has normal clamps on the other area.

Has anyone tried anything like these; any suggestions on brands or cable sizes.

Thanks!
