so it seemed reasonable to finally debadge my truck. Badges came off very easily using 20lb fishing line during a fine 100 degree Texas day, all came off in one piece. Glue for the SR5, Tundra , Toyota and 4x4 badges rolled right off. The glue for the iForce andd FlexFuel badges was a different story. I guess it was too hot, waited until the next morning (it was only 80 at 8 am when I started). Glue was still hard to get off, it took a good 45 minutes per badge and the I had to get some 3M general purpose adhesive cleaner and really scrub to get everything off. All the effort was well worth it, best thing I done to my truck. Also I,ve had my truck for about 14 months and there was no ghosting.

Hey everyone, I'm new to Tundra ownership experience. I've had mine for 8 days now. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or stories on the Line-X truck cover? It looks really sturdy and easy to put on and take if needs be. But the price is the only thing holding me back. Thanks for your input!!

ok guys - stuck again and need a hand... I am trying to remove the bumper cover... I removed the pins on the sides and all across the front and when I try to pull it off it seems to be getting caught on the bottom - right above the fog light there looks to be a plastic clip a tab from the cover is in - the clip is then attached to the support underneath and I don't know which way this comes out... any thoughts? I figured I would ask vs start yanking on it and break something or ruin the paint even worse than the PO already had done...

Hi All,

I'm a newbie here but wanted to throw out a great big THANKS to David, 123Gone, and Paul at LineX of Fort Worth Texas. They got me a great deal on the Retrax cover and they were awesome to work with!!! Only thing I ran into was that the factory bedliner that came with the truck blocked the cannister from fitting into the front of the bed. I had to remove the bedliner, now have to look at alternative bed protection, and to get rid of the factory bedliner. I know a spray on like LineX would work but has anyone got a Retrax with other bedliners? (I.E. Bedrug)

:icon_thankyou:

I've attached a couple photos of the Retrax cover.
The textured are harder to find on the web. It may be cheaper to buy the gloss black & have them re-powder coated with matte black or texture. If any of y'all have any other ideas, let me know.

Guys I bought my 2010 Tundra in July.

Which stands to reason that it sat on the lot a long time, and in PA at that.

I have (or should I say had) little brown spots all over my paint (even after washing and waxing) and the feel of the paint was like sandpaper.

I clayed and its beautiful now.

I was told those spots are from some sort of spore in mulch. Who knows.

They needed mad elbow grease to get out.

Point being is when buying a new car, if it has sat in the lot a long time it will probably have this ???? on it until its properly removed and sealed.

RONE please chime in with your disagreement.

I hated the chrome bumper on my Tundra, so I sanded the ???? out of it with some 80 grain sandpaper, put a couple coats of self etching primer, sanded it some more, and slapped on 4 coats of Herculiner bedlining.
