Anybody interested in the new model Pioneer AVIC (Z110BT) Nav/DVD/MP3/Bluetooth/BU Camera Capable, Amazon has it for $983 with free shipping (list is $1799)... this is the lowest price I've seen on the new AVIC since it came out. [BTW, the "Does if Fit" chart says it won't fit the Tundra, but it appears to me to be the same dimensions as the AVIC Z1,Z2 and Z3 models]. Here's the link:

Amazon.com: Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT 7-Inch Flagship In-Dash Navigation A/V Receiver with DVD Playback and Bluetooth: Electronics
If I didn't think my wife would shoot me, I'd order one and upgrade my AVIC Z2, lol!

When it comes to the audio upgrades I just get lost. More numbers and specs than I have time for.

So...looking for a nice sounding speaker upgrade that does not involve cutting anything. Bolt and go.

I have the standard factory head unit, which I might change, but for now I just listen to XM thru the aux jack on the front.

I have looked at this but in fact don't really need it. I listen to music at low to mid levels only. Part of old age. :)
Appreciate any and all ideas on this.

Hi all, This is my first post here but have been reading since signing up.

I just took delivery of a new 2010 Crewmax LTD. 5.7 Flexfuel. I also got the in-dash nav unit and have a question. The nav system doesn't seem to know that my little town exists. 8500 population here in northern Minnesota. All I can compare it to is my Garmin Nuvi that shows all the places I've been to, but the JBL Nav is poor at best -- so far.

I admit to not doing my homework before ordering the Truck but figured that The nav system would be at least as good as the portable Garmin.

I've read the manual carefully but so far the nav info I'm getting is cryptic at best.

Has anyone tried loading a Garmin or Tom-Tom map disk into the JBL system or am I stuck with the JBL data base??

Thanks.

Seen a post on a forum about the kick panels for the Tundra that were supposed to be coming out..Well got an email yesterday saying they have been shipping to dealers the last couple of days. These will hold a 6.5" Components. You can get them preloaded with Fosgate speakers if you so choose..Mine are coming with no speakers.

Okay for anyone interested just call them up. Ordered mine today at a killer price since I was the first to bite, and will post a thread with pics once I receive them..Talked with Billy w/ Q-logic and he said these should basically just snap in, and then you put one screw back in to fasten them that came out where the other factory piece was.

I have a single DIN CD player installed in my '07 Toyota Tundra Double Cab. I ordered it with the Scosche kit. I have used a kit like this before in a Toyota Tacoma XRunner with no problems. Now my CD's face plate can't fold down. It catches the top lip every time I go to change CDs or if I have to take the faceplate off. I have a Sony CD/MP3 player. Before it was an Alpine in the Tacoma, which had no problems. I think that the metal brackets supplied by Scosche are just so slightly warped that when screwed down, it pushes the radio up ever so slightly to cause this problem. I contacted the place where I purchased it and was advised to sand it down a little on the top (inside) since it is glossy. Every one here seems to have the touch screen DVD/Navi systems. Anyone with single DIN units encounter the same problems?
