I'm planning to replace the factory system in my Crewmax; but, since I just spent tons of money on my lift kit, wheels, and tires I want to do it without spending tons of money. I've always been a car audio fanatic and have had great luck with Infinity, JL Audio, and Rockfod Fosgate. As a result I came up with a plan and I would like your input.

I plan to mount the sub and amps behind the back seat. If room permits I would like to mount the optional add-ons behind the back seat also. I already have 2 of the subs and 1 RF p200-2 amp. I will probably end up selling 1 sub but I will keep the amp.

Head unit: Sony CDX-GT700HD CD receiver at Crutchfield.com

Front Dash: Harman Audio KAPPA32.9CF (3.5 inch 2-way speakers) powered by the head unit

All 4 Doors: Harman Audio KAPPA63.9I (6.5 inch 3-way speakers)

Subwoofer: 1 x JL Audio 10W1v2 Subwoofers - Car Audio Subwoofers in a sealed enclosure

Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate Punch P400-4 4-channel car amplifier 50 watts RMS x 4 at Crutchfield Signature to power the door speakers

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS (If I have enough space)
Mid-Bass: 2 x JL Audio 6W3v3 Subwoofers - Car Audio Subwoofers 8-ohm each wired to pull a 4-ohm load from a 2nd RF P200-2 bridged mono. I'll also need a passive cross-over to keep the mid-bass speakers performing only within the mid-bass range.

So, I went truck shopping today. Time to trade(2008 crewmax 70k) I had the dealer locate a 2011 Silver Crewmax. I want the JBL 6 disc radio, like the the one I have in my 2008. I like the sub & tweeters. The sales manger was doing the locating. He told me that Toyota was not putting the JBL in the trucks, just the 6 speaker radio. The JBL is in the brochure & on web site. I called him on it, stating that it was in the brochure. He said that is a national thing, we don't get that radio in the Gulf state region. Is he telling me the truth??

Hey all,
I seem to lose reception rather easily with XM. The unit is factory installed and the antenna is located on the front right of the roof. The truck is a 2010.

I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I have lost reception going down a road near the house and my wife's Sonata has never lost reception in that area.

Thanks
:patriotic:
