| Take a look at this article from Motor Trend that Chicks found and posted on the thread "A Little Worried." It mentions the tail gate issue as another possible issue with the Tundra. Tundra hits another speed bump, one possibly on the horizon | Recalls Blog at Motor Trend

| When I first joined this Forum, the big tailgate issue was it's locking mechanism failure. At that time I wondered out loud in a post if Toyota was starting to cut corners (like the Big 3 has for years) by using "plastic clips" and now it appears they are replacing welds with "putty sealant." Jeeeezus, is this the beginning of the Americanization of Toyota. Dayum, what a shame!!!!!

| My buddy uses and Ultimate Rack on his F350 to haul his quads. It leaves him room load stuff under the quads. A benefit is that it does not use the tailgate to load the quad. It is easy to remove. It uses four tie-downs on the corners. It does take a lot of room. Not what I need, but maybe something you guys might be interested in. ![]() ![]() ATV Racks.com- Your ATV Accessory and ATV Trailer Source

It would be an easy build. Probly 4 hours plus material. Don't know where you are but under $500 would do it I bet. Wayne |
