Odd suspension/brake behavior

I have a 2007 DC with only 17,000 miles on it. I drive it very easy except for the occasional (slow) jumping of curbs. This behavior just started happening and it is driving me crazy trying to figure it out.

Whenever I back out of a parking spot (and turn left) it feels like I am driving over a small bump. When I get out to find the bump/rock etc. there is nothing there.

Additionally, every once in a while when I am at a dead stop and release my brakes (no gas) it also feels like I am going over a small bump even though I am hardly moving.

Please let me know what you may think it is or where I can start looking. The truck drives great otherwise.

Thanks - Jim

I am not the guy that will help you figure this one out. But Just fyi when i am in stop and go traffic, when i am coming to a slow stop, or just releasing the brake to go slow, there is a knock or a bump i get too. I am not sure if its the same thing your talking about.

I forgot to mention that I have a 2WD so the 4WD solution would not be it. Additionally, I don't hear anything, I just feel the bump/knock. And yes, I also feel it in traffic when releasing the brake from a dead stop. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one with this issue.

If you can reproduce it consistently, call the Toyota service center and schedule a ride along with a tech.
