Finally have the HID's installed

After much procrastination, and being overloaded at work I've installed the HID's. The kits came from TopHIDKits.com, They costs around $208.00 total. The instructions booklets sucked. A phone call directed me to BuyIDKits.com, there I found a good set of instructions.

After removing the battery and the windshield washer reservoir, I noticed was that the replacement bulbs wouldn't fit into the reflector housing without removing the entire headlight first....

After reinstallation of the headlights, There was plenty of room, and the wires were sufficiently long. The one issue I had was the H11 mounts needs to be slightly filed down to fit the housing. Thanx to no QA/QC programs on illegal lights from China.

A little creative searching I mounted the low beam ballasts on the vertical radiator side support frames using double sided tape. I cleaned the frame and the ballasts with De-natured alcohol before applying the tape....

The Fog light ballasts were mounted on the aluminum box-beam that forms the primary inner bumper, there's lots of room and are easily accessible...

I had to solder in some extensions to the relay harness to reach the fogs, not a big deal though. The relays are mounted on the radiator frame to the left of the radiator and near the battery.

It was a matter of connecting everything up, zip-tieing the extra wires, taping up the connections to the truck harness. Then....Test time, of course I had polarity messed up on the low's , 30 seconds, reversed a connection and I was in business.

I used 8000k's for the low's and 6000k for the fogs. I not 100% in love with the 8000k yet, but the actual color in very close to the lights on my Acura TL, so I'm gonna roll with it for a while.

Here's what the lights look like.....overall a worthwhile mod to do.
