Holy crap

So my son has a friend over today and they ask if they can drive the golf cart. I tell em sure just don't hit anything and stay away from the truck and trailer. We have more than an acre for them to play on. They drive around for a while no problem after a while I am done in the shop and start closing up when I hear a large crunching sound. I look out and there resting against my 10 day old Tundra is the kids golf cart . WTF. I walk over to survey the damage. It is not good, seems the friend tried to cut a corner really close to my truck and just ran into it. A weld on tab caught on the plastic bumper cover and tore a nice slash in it . Here is a pic for all to enjoy.

Any body know if there are parts availible yet

Thumbs up Ouch is right...

In the Titan's early days it seemed that all parts were destined for new production. Hopefully that will not be a problem for you.

I can commiserate with your situation...the first damage to my '04 Titan was done with a golf cart too!! It was a couple of years ago and I had taken my 6 year old son with me to play some golf. After the round I had parked the golf cart behind my Titan (facing the rear bumper) to unload our golf clubs. When we were done I offered to let my son drive the cart back to the pro shop. I never thought he would hit the accelerator before I had a chance to put it in reverse. Ended up with a pretty good size dent in the rear bumper where the golf cart tried to climb up into the bed of the Titan. The golf cart body popped back out and the golf course said not to worry about it. Live and learn!

Sorry that happened!!

Unhappy It proves it

The way I see it zukIzzy, it proves that you have a good truck!

When ever anyone has a good vehicle, a good horse, or a good dog something bad always happens to it. (Seems to me anyway)

My favorite truck got stolen and my best dog and pup got shot and killed.

It looks like you can get er fixed up pretty quick if the parts are available. It's drive-able anyway and I am guessing no one got hurt so that was good.

Sorry for your bad luck, but like I said it proves you got a good truck.

Sorry for your luck Zuk!

That first scratch or dent on a new vehicle is always a bummer, I imagine that one made you sick to your stomach. I'm always telling my kids, Stay away from the truck, No don't do that by the truck & please don't spill that inside the truck......UGH....It's enough to drive you insane!

Sorry to hear that Zuk.

This is the kind of crap that drives ya up a wall. I am going to use your experience as a tool to hopefully teach my kids and neighbors kids. They are always doing wierd stuff around my truck. Nothing has happened yet, but I am getting tired of telling them to "stay away from the truck".

I am going to print a pic of your damage and story and hand a copy to all my and my neighbors kids. At the bottom I will print, "PLEASE DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO ME".

good luck and hopefully a quick repair.

Thanks for the sympathy all. I was spittin mad when it happened but you know I have to be the one who takes responsiblility for not getting the truck out of the yard before I tuned em loose. At least it was my truck and not the neighbors Motorhome or one of the kids. I have had to make a fast hospital run once because My son fell out of a golfcart and was knocked unconsious. That is why I got an old slow Taylor Dunn for them and keep the Yamaha for us. Maybe I should keep that kid away from golf carts.

On a brighter note I towed a 26 foot flatbed with 2 jeeps around a bit yesterday and was really happy with the performance of the tundra. Better than my 6.0 chevy 1500 HD

On a fuel to the fire note a truck threw a rock from its tires and broke the windshield of our 3 day old SRT8 magnum yesterday too. Im goin into the bunker let me know when it is safe to go out.

My kid would have a missing friend.

That sucks. Damaged bumper on the truck, broken windshield on the Magnum, I would be afraid to park a vehicle at your house.
