Question need help with fm brodcasting from sat radio

Ok everyone
Hers the challenge I have for you if you chouse to except.

As most of you know I change and repair Big tires on the road and in the field for a living.
I am a Sirius user and use a set of Peltor alert M2rx7Peltor Workstyle for ear protection that also contains an fm radio.
My old sportster radio worked great for this application the built in fm modulator pumped out enough range I could work 20 yards around my truck with no problem hearing the Sirius playing .
But this old Sirius unit was getting beat up and the buttons 1&2 stopped working so the wife got me a new one for Christmas. This is where the problem starts.
The new radios from Sirius have the fm modulators strength cut in half or more due to the fcc (so Sirius says ) so that you don’t bleed your signal to other peoples cars in traffic.
Well now I can’t use my new radio in the manner I Need to and im running out of ideas on how to boost the broadcast strength of the now weak fm modulator!
Any ideas or cheep mods for this fix would be greatly helpful.
Thanks all

This might be one for PS-Rage.

Is there any kind of output antenna on the sirius unit? Could it me made into a portable unit that clips on your belt?

Hmmm, I was going to say you could try an in line coax signal booster for that antenna, but if it doesn't work that well to begin with, then I'm not sure how much it will help.

I had the same problem with my Stilleto 100. If you have an aux in plug on your stereo, run a cable between the mini on your satellite to the mini aux-in. The sound quality is fantastic all digital.
