Question Windshield heater on 2007 Tundra

The bad news is that I took a big chunk of rock to the right of the rear view mirror.
Two chip spots and the guy that was going to try the injection fix said only a 50/50 chance of success.
Good news is that I had the window replaced (1000 miles on the Truck) and was told to order the heated glass.
The new glass came in all wired up/the old window was not wired up/ so they hooked up the wires. Does anyone know if I need another relay to make the windshield heater work?? I do have the heated outside mirrors that do work and the cold weater package.
Thanks in advance---You guys are great with your help!!!!

Down here in GST, as far as I know, the cold weather package includes the heater in the windshield. I would imagine that all the colder climates would have it as part of the cold weather package as well. I wonder if the fact that yours didn't have a heated windshield could be brought up with the dealer and have them pay for the new windshield.

As for the relay, I imagine it all runs through the same relay. I'll look and see if i can find anything that shows either way.

The windshield deicer system's thin heater wires are attached to the inside of the windshield glass and deice the windshield surface quickly. The indicator light illuminates while the system is operating. The system automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.
The windshield deicer switch is built into the mirror heater switch.

Talking Window is Heating!

Toxarch and Candyman, Thanks for the help with the heated windshield.
I went into the dealer this afternoon with your info, and the tec fooled around with the computer to find the heater was on because of the heated mirrors-we took the relay out of the air conditioner spot-put into the heated windshield spot and it worked! So after the purchase of a $72.43 relay (#90080-87026) I am in business and have a one of a kind as well. Apparently Toyota does not put a heated windshield in the reg. cab trucks even though they put in the heated mirrors.
So, that's the story and I guess I have to stick to it although my wipers will not be sticking to the windshield!
Having to replace the windshield turned out to be very lucky.

Yikes, they charge a lot for a relay. Glad that you got it working. Wonder why they don't install the heated windshield on regular cab trucks. Maybe they figure the cab is so small compared to the other models that the regular heater would do a faster job of heating up the cab and windshield. I don't know, I'm just fishing here.

What new switch? They just stuck in a relay for the windshield heater. Same switch as before.
