| Assuming this is the OEM unit install, I would think XM is the same install procedure as the Sirius. The following post made by Toxarch might help, along with the attached pdf Yoda install instructions. http://www.toyotatundraforum.com/ele...lots-pics.html

I don't know if there is any difference between the head unit for the Sirius and the XM, but I mounted my Sirius head unit behind the radio. There's a little ledge looking area behind the radio and I mounted it there, running the cable under the passenger side dash to the passenger side plastic kick panel (where a bunch of relays, etc. are located) and mounted the antenna box there. The antenna wire can then be routed wherever you plan to mount the antenna. Unfortunately I didn't take any pics. Good luck with your install.

As I recall grimmkt, the ledge looking area is not very deep and not particularly wide due to some other dash supports in that area. My Sirius head unit is roughly 4-5"x4-5" by about 1.5" deep so it was not a problem (I turned the flat side towards the firewall). Anything much bigger might get very tight in there, especially if you have the JBL system (or the Nav unit). If you don't mind fooling with the hour or so to remove and reinstall the radio, you can always "dry fit" it and see if there's room.

Welcome... if you decide to move it, let me know how your "reinstall" goes! BTW, as an alternative install location, the set of install instructions I posted (Post #2 above)has the head unit mounted underneath the dash on the passenger side... see bottom of page 9 of the pdf file attached to my Post #2 above.

WHY, is there two different mounting locations for the satilite radio. The Sirius is a way better option, tucked up behind the dash. Maybe I should have waited for them to merge and then get the Sirius Kit. I guess I will try to mount the XM the same way, it just appears to be two different brackets. Toyota your killing me................. And while I am at it I will try to figure out that annoying squeek in the dash.
