| MPG Computer/Display & Blank Buttons My 08 does not have the instantaneous and average mpg calculator on my dash display, it only gives outside temp. My co-worker does have this feature on his 07 Tundra. I was wondering if it is possible to add this feature to my 08? Buttons are there (blanks), just wondering if it is a big ordeal installing this feature, I gather there must be some sort of computer required to make these calculations, not sure if the truck is prewired for this or if this mod is possible outside of the factory. We were also trying to figure out what all of the other blank buttons are for. On the console style, there are 2 blanks next to the Tow/Haul button, we are guessing one may be for foglights, not sure what the other is for, and the blanks surrounding the AUX hook up for the radio, we saw in the book the 2 outside buttons are for heated seats but couldn't figure out what the other was for. Any idea? Couldn't find anything in the owners manual.

| I don't know of anyone who added the trip computer to the center of the dash. It might be prewired, but I'm betting it won't be cheap. You can get something like a scangauge and do everything that little computer does and more. It's not cheap, but it's bound to be less expensive than adding the computer and buttons. The other one next to the AUX button and heated seat controls is for the Glass Break Sensor. Not sure about next to the tow/haul button.

| Went to Toyota today and saw a loaded Limited Tundra. It had most of the blank buttons filled. I couldn't make out the button to the left of the traction control button as the steering wheel was in the way, but it did have a 115VAC on it, the button to the right was for the moonroof. Up on the top right next to the speedo, the top 2 buttons are for the Info and settings on the display - mpg stuff, 3rd button was for display setup (us vs metric), bottom button is to turn on/off the sonar system. Down below the climate control, left and right most blanks are for heated seats (driver/passenger), center is the AUX connection for the radio, and I believe the last button was for glass breakage. Thats pretty muuch it. On another note, I asked the parts guy if it was possible to get a kit to add the info feature to get the mpg info, he wasn't sure but figured it would be expensive to do. Maybe I will try to contact a Toyota tech rep to get the real scoop. |

I thought the sunroof controls were on the ceiling. You sure the other switch you saw wasn't for the Crewmax rear window? |
