Use fans blowing across those amps. Not a lot of room to cool those on their own.

To anyone with a CM, is the rear seat the same as the DC? In other words, would the plastic piece that covers the backside of the seatback work on the backside of the DC seatback to dress it up a bit when folded?

Thumbs up Well done Tony....

Had not seen this mod before. This is another feature of the King Cab Titan I wish Toyota would have integrated into the DC Tundra.

I agree about finishing the back of the seats with some plywood or something.

A very well written and documented DIY.

All I have seen is the above pictures, but I am going to guess no. But I would really have to look at both at the same time to say for sure. It would definitely need to be modded a bit to work.

I can take some pictures of mine if you think they will help.

Thanks Tox but I saw those pictures too and some of some CM seats they were selling on eBay. They look totally different...lots of modifications by the looks of things. Probably easier to cut a thin piece of fiberboard to size and maybe hold in place with heavy-duty velcro??

How about something like an aluminum sheet bent on two sides? Should be fairly durable.

That would work. Good idea. If it ever stops the late afternoon t-storms here in Houston, I'll get a chance to get the rear seats out of the truck and take a closer look.

Awesome Mod

I did this mod last night and it worked exactly as noted. I would only suggest that you do not remove the brackets from the back seat as this was the most time consuming. I then put the brackets back and one of the brackets was 1/8" too long so I just cut the bracket in place and that was much easier. The brackets cut very easy with a metal blade on a sawzall. Thanks again for posting this mod. I have the limited DC and it comes with a big sub woofer that takes up most of the room under my seat so adding the space behind the seat is a hugh plus for me.

Welcome Larrymooreiii. Glad it worked. I thought about cutting in place but since I like using power tools, I was afraid of sparks or damage.
