Light below rearview mirror?

Hey guys, I was driving home last night and noticed a light shining towards the radio and realized there's a light underneath the Homelink/compass mirror shining down. Mood lighting? Radio controls are all lit so I'm not sure why Toyota put one there. Too far away to be a map light... I guess it's just like the small LED light for the ash tray in the console. Good for nothing except show!

You'd be about right Gr... if you use the "ash tray" in the center console it serves a purpose.... otherwise, I think it's kinda neat as a mood light for extracurricular activities in the Tundra, lol!

It's called a shift light. It is suppose to add a little light on the floor shift lever. I guess for those who can't find the shifter in the dark.

Right It shines on the shifter if you have a console! I guess it shins on a colum shift if in park also.

I believe Toyota calls it the PRNDL light.
