| Big Sky 2 Gun Rack Well I searched the site and could not find anything about this so sorry if I just over looked it. I want to put a Big Sky 2 gun rack in my '07 Crew-Max. If you have not seen them here is a link Cabela's -- Big Sky Racks Sky-Bar Gun Rack . You can also google them to find pics of them in a truck. Anyway, I do not want to end up putting a couple of screws through the top of the roof and have a nice drip everytime it rains, so I was wandering if you all could answer some questions for me. I have a moonroof but the gun rack has a telescoping adjustable pole that will stretch to the sides of the cab so I do not have to worry about mounting it and messing up the moonroof. What I don't know is if the roof is double walled or just single walled and was hoping that someone here could tell me without having to take the roof liner out to find out.(Just don't think that job would be much fun. If you have any pics of the roof without the liner installed that would be even better. Thanks guys, Tuck

| i think its just 1 wall, i only saw it briefly when i drooped my over head console down, theres a pic of the area im talking about in Tox's thread below even if you cant tell from pic drooping that console is easy and you be able to see. http://www.toyotatundraforum.com/int...op-window.html |

| As far as I have seen, it's only a single layer. PS-Rage has a moon roof in his truck and drilled through the roof to install a couple of antennas. You might see if he will answer a PM and let you know for sure if the trucks with the moonroof are single layer. http://www.toyotatundraforum.com/ele...d-rage-ii.html

| I really like the over head mount. I have a couple of friends that have it in their truck and it really secures the guns well and keeps them out of sight for the most part. Thing is, the roof has to be double walled where you attach the rack or you will shoot the screws through the top of the truck. I am hoping someone has taken their liner completely out and can tell me if there are any double walled areas around the sides so I don't have to take it out to find out. Thanks, Tuck |

| i took down my over head consol tonight most of it is single, but theres something that runs over the center that might work hes a pic. my gusse is this goes all the way to the sides ![]() |

| Thanks for the pics. If that does run all the way to the sides then it should work fine. Does your truck have the moonroof? Not sure if the moonroof would make a difference or not. I guess I am just going to have to take the liner out to make sure. Thanks, Tuck |

| McColl, Was that crossbar located just in the front or do you know if there was one in the back as well? I was hoping to be able to install it somewhere over the back seats. Thanks, Tuck |

| sorry tuck i cant remember 100% if its the only one i saw. i dont think i saw one in the front, and ive never pulled down my liner to see the back. I dont have a moon roof, I have a double cab so my over over head plastic is much larger then yours (assuming u have a crew max). I would think the moon roof is right where that bar runs and they use it for support. The pic of that bar is in the middle of my cab right where the front / back doors meet. |

| McColl, Thanks for the response. I do have the crew max so I guess I will have to pull the liner to be sure. I haven't bought the rack so I am not really in a hurry to get it put in. Honestly I seem to forget about it each year until hunting season rolls around. I will reply back when I get around to taking the liner and let everyone know what I find. Thanks, Tuck |
