| 07-08 Tundra i-pod integration I really hated having to use the aux port to play my i-pod in my truck because I had to get the volume on the i-pod just right to make it sound good and it still wasn't cd quality sound. I bought my wife a new special TRD edition Scion and it had the i-pod integration and the quality of sound was 10 times better. I started looking for a better way to play the i-pod and charge it in the truck at the same time without having to replace the factory deck. This is what I found iSimple - Apple® iPod® Direct Connect Kit for Select Vehicles - ISIM71. I had it installed in about 15 minutes and it makes a world of difference. It uses the satellite radio port in the back of the factory radio to let you control the i-pod through the factory deck and steering wheel controls. It even supports text so you know what song is playing. I bought the truck with the JBL system and I'm overall pleased with the quality of the stereo so I didn't want a new deck. Just wanted to pass this on to all of you guys that are looking to do something similar. I didn't take any pictures of the install process, but I could take it back apart and snap a few pics if you want to see. |

| I wired it to the glove box. I may run it to the center console when I have more time. It would be easier to reach. The harness came with a male plug to plug the sat radio into to piggyback on the plug, but I don't know if you can use the sat radio while the i-pod is plugged in or not. I quit using my sat radio due to the commercials. |

| When it came out there weren't any commercials. After about 2-3 years they sold some of the stations to cumulus radio and they would play a 2 minute commercial every 15 minutes. I got a little upset that I was paying for radio with commercials so I canceled. They may have quit now, but I haven't had it for about 3 years now, so I don't know. |

| Thanks for the link cmomo0128! FWIW - I have subscribed to Sirius for the past ~ 4 years - I have NEVER heard a commercial on any of the MUSIC stations. re.ac.tor
