I have an 08 DC with bucket seat and a floor shifter. I am really debating putting in a carbon dash kit. I have seen some online and they look awesome. Has anyone done it? And if so what do you think? Brand? Price? Quality? And where did you get it?

There was a guy (WTVa) who recently did his own dash with a cloth that looked just like carbon fiber. The end result looked pretty good and it was cheaper than any overlay kit.

The only thing I would do different is to cover it in a clear urethane to give it an enameled finish. Might have to use a clear fiberglass resin to build it up, sand it smooth, and then use a urethane spray to make the resin clear up and give it a great finish.

Thanks Toxarch, Yeah it looks good in pics. But I think if you where sitting in the truck you could tell that it is probably a fabric. I think it would lack that smooth look.
