Did you tint your CM windows?

I have a 2010 Crew Max, and planning on tinting the windows.

How dark did you go on yours and what would you suggest?

I don't want to get too dark and make it TOO hard to see out rear window at night, but want something

I have factory tinting on the rear doors and back window.........I had tint shop go as dark as possible without getting darker than rear windows..........so it looks a tad lighter.........you have to consider your state laws also........my signature pic below is from before the tint...

Yeah, there are the state laws to consider...but in texas they only regulate the front windows.

I am/was considering adding tint to the rear windows to reduce the heat coming thru all that glass

Your rear glass rolls down. You can make it really dark and then roll it down at night while backing up if you need to.

I did 35% in the front (darkest legal) and 15% over the rear factory tint. So that makes it about 2% in the rear. 0.15 x 0.20(factory) x 0.70(auto glass) = 2.1%. People say factory tint is around 17%.

Is there an obvious difference between tint levels? Definitely. Does it bother me? Not at all since it helps keep the truck cooler. I do roll my rear glass and windows down when I am backing the boat into its spot at night or when backing into a friend's driveway with a LOT of trees. But the rest of the time, it's not a problem since I have the rear camera.

There's more pics of the tint here:
http://www.toyotatundraforum.com/int...th-llumar.html

I do need to go back and get the front driver's door redone. When I release the seat belt, the buckle hits the glass and there's a couple of spots where it's chipped holes in the tint. Guess it's good that I got a scratch warranty.

Here is one below Limo tint. Works great at night. The strip on top of the windshield is Limo, the darkest you can get. Keep in mind that in these pictures you are looking thru two (2) windows which appear to make it super dark. It's not. I could of gone limo in the back but wanted to keep the tint flowing from front window to back window.

Most shops carry the retractable window shade you see in last picture.

I'm glad I did not go darker. Hope this helps.

I have 20% on my front and the installer said that is what is on the backs. I've been thinking about going darker on the backs like Tox. I got pulled over Saturday and got a ticket, but I made sure I rolled my fronts down before the cop got to the truck so he couldn't see how dark my fronts were.
