Several owners I have talked to seem to have some problem with the 07 Tundra radio. My radio has quit several times and has more static than it should. I have requested that my dealer replace the radio. I am waiting for a response from them. You should probably take the truck in to your dealer and lodge a complaint. I am sure there has been several people already done this.

Welcome to the site! While I have heard about radio issues with static and turning on/off I have not experienced them. I definitely would talk to your dealer!

I've had some static issues also, Be sure to check your antenna they have been known to come loose on these trucks.

Yup, and like the others have said take it in. That's what warranties are for and it wouldn't be the first manufacturer to have received a bad batch of radios. Had the one in my 04 Titan replaced for that exact same reason. I'll keep an eye out for a TSB.

speaking of the antenna getting loose - it happened to me. You need to check them! I do when I wash and it has been loose! This could be a culprit.

I have not had a problem with mine so far. The loose antenna could be the culprit. Definitely report it to the dealer so they at least have a record of it should something happen in the future. Maybe they'll contact you first if a TSB does come out.

I've got the same problem. Crewmax Limited with JBL non navi. I get static when listening to AM talk radio. Some voices make it happen a lot more than others. Took it to dealer twice. They have replaced the radio and it still has the same problem. I tested another truck the same spec at the dealership and it too has static under the same conditions.Talked to Toyota Canada and they say they are unaware of a problem and cant do anything about it.
