Newbie in NC

Found your site today, my gain! Thanks for all of the posts, I have really learned a great deal today.
Got my truck last week (2/29) after talking about getting a truck for several months. Finally my wife told me to stop talking and go get a truck. I didn't tell her for sure that I was going to the dealership last week, I just took it for a test drive and parked outside her work and gave her a call to look out her window. First things she said was "it's red" and "it's a Tundra-I was hoping you wanted a Tundra". I have been telling everyone that it is really her truck and she just lets me drive it.
Being the last day of the month, I think they were ready to sell, so I think I got a good deal. The only thing I miss about my old car is the 30mpg. Love my (er, her) Tundra!

Welcome Mike. You have found the best truck "Tundra" site around. Great members, lots of good info and suggestions. Jump in, ask questions, comment, enjoy. Post some pictures.
Where in NC are you located? Beautiful scsnery and motorcycle roads in most of the state.

I know I need to get some pics, but it's too dirty right now. I've only had it a week and I still need to get the nerf bars installed before I add the pics.

Heck, get some pictures without bars and we all can watch as the mods progress. You are just getting started adding to the Tundra. Hope the wife enjoys watching you spend money on "her" truck.

I live in Hickory, NC. It's in the foothills region of the Appalachian mountains. I know I'm biased, but yes, we have some of the best scenery, especially in the west (mountains). I also like the Outer Banks too!

SRTRIDE,
Where did you get those chrome mirror caps for your tow mirrors? Cost? (If you don't mind me asking.) I may have to get some of those!

Have a couple of friends that live in Hickory. My son has a camper set up near Morganton. We spend quiet a bit of time in that area during summer. Love to ride those 2 lane roads and the Blueridge. That part of NC., eastern TN. and my home of southwest VA. are some of the best country and people in the world in my opinion.

My local shop ordered them, Putco is the manufacturer, covers fit like a glove. http://www.toyotatundraforum.com/ext...html#post17618 120 for the set. By the way, I've got folks in franklin, hadn't been up that way in some time. Hopefully come summer I'll find myself hooking rainbows, making me hungry thinking about them.
