| Being the owner of an 05 Titan, I can say I'm very happy with the truck. I am thinking of upgrading my 4x2 King Cab Titan to a Crew Cab 4x4 Titan or DC Tundra 4x4, so I am here researching as well. Thier are some great rebates of 5K off Titans right now. Another thing is that the current Titan is going to be phased out in 09, and the next Generation is going to be made by Dodge which may or may not be a good thing. |

| Howdy ttek and welcome to TTZ. I voted for the Tundra DC, but I have to tell you that I had a 2004 Titan Extended Cab and it was one of the best trucks I've ever owned. In fact, the first few months after I got rid of my Titan and got the Tundra I had some lingering doubts about my decision... now, after 9 months of owning the Tundra I am convinced I made the right choice. Good luck on deciding between the two! I really don't think you can go wrong with either, although I am also not sure what will happen as to resale value, quality, etc. when Nissan outsources the Titan to Dodge.

| Rarjar and a few others are previous Titan owners and can give you the best answers having driven both long term. The Titan is a nice truck, but for me, the Tundra was better. I love my Tundra and wouldn't trade it for any other truck out right now... maybe for the same truck with a little longer bed but that's not available.

| thanks for all of the helpful thoughts guys. I did not know about the phase out of Titans after 09. Slow sales and new fuel economy regs kill Nissan Titan - AutoblogGreen I'm leaning a little more towards the tundra now. My next question is DC or CrewMax... |

| ttec, hello and welcome to TTZ! I have a Tundra DC (double cab) and it has alot of room, but I sometimes find my self saying I should have gotten the CM (crewmax) I would go with the Tundra! DC or CM you cant go wrong, I would say though if you have little ones I would go with the crew max it will make family trips alittle more comfortable. |

| First I own a Titan with over 118,000 miles and it's been a great work horse. 2nd they aren't killing the Titan it's going to be built by Dodge so Nissan can concentrate on what they do better, small cars and commercial trucks. Now to answer your question I was looking to buy a new truck last year and both the Titan and the Tundra were so evenly matched in my book that I threw in the towel and bought a Cummins 6.7L Dodge 1 ton. Good luck in your decision making because I darn near had a stroke! ![]()

| Welcome aboard ttek... My last truck was an '04 Titan which I owned for ~ 38 months. It was an XE King Cab model (2WD) and was a damn fine truck serving its purpose well whillte racking up ~ 93K miles with no problems (other than tires and dogs running in front of me on the interstate). I would not hesitate to purchase another Titan, I just think the Tundra is the current King Of The Hill. The Toyota definitely has better build quality and is just a little bit nicer truck. Good luck with your decision and let us know what you decide. re.ac.tor ![]()

| Well, I went to the dealer today all ready to take delivery of my new CM Tundra!! After hours of test driving the Camry & Tundra, asking several questions, and ironing out all of the details, the finance manager decided to play games with me. Could you believe that he tried to tell me that "invoice" and "MSRP" are actually the same thing and the invoice price listed on Edmunds.com, KBB, or even Consumer Reports was faulty information. Greed is a terrible thing! I was willing to accept the fact that I was giving them a nice trade and they were getting over on me just because that's the way trade-ins go, but don't try to get me both ways when I'm buying 2 vehicles from you at the same time. Our salesman was cool, after doing all he could to help us, I hated that he looses out on 2 sales because of a dishonest sales manager. Oh well, guess I'll have to bring my hard-earned money to someone who wants it enough to at least think for a second before lying to a customer who was very straight forward from the minute he stepped foot in the dealership. I'll keep you posted on how the process goes. There's a good chance I may just try to wait a few months and save up a little more anyway. |
