I learned to drive in rear wheel drive cars and didn't have any issues when I was younger. I drove a Nizzan Z in the winter one year, and it was a mess. I probably should have died. But that didn't have the right rubber on it.
why bother with sand?

I drive 300+ WHP RWD coupe.. no sand.. carbonfiber body..:P
winter tires is all I need to do.

Sure enough Tundra won't have any problem getting through snow without extra weight.

What the hell do you drive that has a carbon fiber body?

Put some good rubber on and keep off the gas. I drive mine in the snow in two wheel drive most of the time. the truck is well balanced so 4 wheel is only needed when things get really slippery and deep. I did get stuck once going into a job. Buried the truck to the frame but had a shovel to get the truck back on the ground.

I suspect for some folks who believe 4WD will get you out of anything, in this case a 4WD might have simply gotten you buried that much deeper, lol!

I've got 4x4 and recently had a chance to use it. However it's really hard to turn to the steering locks, any idea if my knuckles are going bad? BTW it rocks the snow
