Hello from Athens, GA

Hello everyone, I am brand new to the forum and about to purchase an 07 Tundra 5.7 with the TRD package, extended cab 4dr, 18" alloys, metallic gray exterior, gray leather seats, 4700 miles, bed liner, step bars for $24,400. Truck has a clean carfax and is in perfect condition, one owner garage kept the whole time. Is that a good deal on the truck?

First off, welcome to TTZ. Now, as to your question, you don't say whether it's a Limited or SR5, or whether it's 4WD, but if it's a SR5 without 4WD then I would say the price is a tad high, but if it's a Limited 4WD, then the price is about right.

Welcome to the forum tundranoob.

With the rebates Toyota is offering and the dealer discount you can get a new 2010 for well under 30 grand. You may want to compare before purchasing a used one.

Welcome to the Forum..........enjoy, it's a great place for answers.

If you compare finance rates of around 8% for used vehicles vs 1.9 % with Toyota Motor Credit for a new one, you'll see that buying one at a slightly elevated price and low interest is like stealing a new truck from the dealership. That's what I did. I originally wanted an '07 or '08, but when interest is tossed in the mix, payments weren't much different, except I've got full warranty and zero miles to start. So I stepped up and bought a '10 DC 4x4 and am in love with it!

Thanks Steve. I got my financing through CapitalOne for right around 6% which isn't too bad for the pre-owned
