You just gave me an idea Squid... let me play this out for you. "Honey, you need the Sig P226 9 mm for a travel carry weapon and I'll get the "significantly inferior P250" for me since I have to have something for the trips back and forth between Lafayette and Texas." LOL!

You have to camouflage it with roses or her favorite perfume, etc.

I hope it works out well for you. A good friend of mine bought the 250 back in February and had nothing but problems with it. Constantly jamming, problems with the magizine fit and feed. And it wasn't only him, at least 6 other people fired it and had the same problems. Sig had him send it back to them 3 different times on his dime. And basically told him nothing was wrong. He is not a novice pistol shooter either. Every time he'd get on the phone with their customer service the first thing they would ask him was 'are you in law enforcement' and he isn't. Then they would give him the run around. This continued for 6 months. He finally got tired of it and the traded it in towards a kimber. The issues with this model and the customer service are not unique either. He showed me the problems that poeple were reporting on some of the pistol forums he was on.

I had thought about getting one myself. My brother is a cop and he always raved about his sigs. But after my buddies experience I'd have to think twice.

Good luck, hope it works out better for you than it did for my friend.

The Sig Rep admitted that the early P250 did have a problem that was fixed so when I bought mine I checked to see the manufacture date on the case and it was 11-Aug-2009. I know it's not a lot but I messed around today siting it in and shot 30 rounds of Blazer brass 115Gr. 9MM without a hitch.

Squid, i was just watching lock and load, and there was a guy on there that looked just like you (or Eddie Van Hallen) looking for an assault rifle. I am investigating this further, but i think you were on TV bro........
