Concealed Handgun Shooting in Columbus

This is a feel good story you will like. Second Amendment at its finest.

Woman, 70, who killed intruder at motel feels sick about shooting | The Columbus Dispatch

The bad part is that they are sending it to a grand jury to decide if Granny should have charges filed against her or not. The article doesn't mention it, but the robber was armed. With what I do not know.

Good for her for defending herself. I hope no charges are filed.

I suspect the submission of her case to the grand jury is just a formality, and most likely a CYA move for the city, the police and the prosecutor's office.

Good for her! More towns should have laws that require homeowners to have guns in their homes as in Kennesaw, GA. Only town in the nation to require this, even though they do not enforce it...Reported crime is down since this law was enacted..Robbers would think twice about entering a place for sure! Crime dropped 89% in the city, and it did not promote gun fights as thought it might in the streets.

I support the right to bear arms and believe people should be able to protect themselves. But I can't help but feel sorry for this lady. The article said she was sick about it. I would suspect this incident will bother her for a long time.

I sincerely hope anyone who takes another person's life is sick about it... whether they deserved it or not.
