At first glance I thought that was an AR-15. Then I looked again and noticed it's a Sig Swat rifle. Interesting choice, never shot one myself. Lots of new 5.56 rifles coming out now that Colt said they would not renew their contract with the military. Saw a piston rifle that looked interesting. Very little cleaning required since it uses a gas driven piston to reload rather than the gases returning from the barrel.

There are mobile meth labs around here. Every so often there's a fire on a ranch cause a mobile lab exploded. Or they cut a fence to get to a field to cook it and the livestock get loose. Heck, there are even houses in town that blow up occasionally. And these are 3000 square foot houses in nice neighborhoods. I keep guns in the house. Not for meth heads, mostly because nobody can see the house if something were to happen.

And legalizing pot might not be the best idea. Saw a documentary on some town in Northern Cali where it's legal to grow and sell to shops. They said crime is up and the whole community is going downhill fast. But the shops do pay a lot in taxes.

The Sig 556 is piston driven and the GENUINE SWISS MADE parts from the 555 will fit the 556 not to mention that since they carry Sig 55X to protect the Pope I figure God is on my side now that I have one. I think I'm going to pick up the 556 pistol too before they change the law since it'll be easier to transport. Tomorrow my I.M.P.D.-3POINT TACTICAL SINGLE POINT SLING will be here and she'll be field ready finally.

Maybe the sig was the piston rifle they were showing. They had the hand guard off the rifle to show how the piston worked. So the gun looked different. They were firing 3 x 30 round clips as fast as they could and then pulling the bolt and holding it in their hand to show it was still cool.

You can buy a bare lower and register it as a pistol (FFL paperwork at purchase). If that is done, then I believe you can build it as a pistol or a rifle later. However, if the lower is registered as a rifle, then the gun can only be built as a rifle later. Though most do not specify the type of lower that is bought if it's a stripped lower.

They sell pot in Amsterdam and I bet their crime rate per capita is lower then the US.

If there was only place in the country that sold alcohol, I bet the crime would skyrocket in that area. It's all about concentrating the bad element that is commonly associated with any drug.

I have never heard of anybody under the influence of marijiuana kill multiple people going the wrong way on the highway. I have never heard in the news about some guy shooting a bunch of people after a bar fight because he was high as a kite.

Somebody explain to me why our government should spend millions of dollars policing a drug that is no worse then alcohol. A drug that effects the user to a less degree then alcohol.
