DIY woodworking dust collector

Came across this DIY and thought some of you might like to see it. It would make it a lot easier to collect the dust without having to clean the shop vac out all the time.

That is pretty neat. Looks a little unwieldy to move around but, looks like it would prolong the life of the shopvac.

It is amazing what people come up with and share on the net.

Thanks Tox!

I know this is a little off-topic, but I have a commercial dust collection system in my shop that I'll have to take some pics of this next weekend. Wanna say I got about $1500 in it total, but it hooks up to virtually all of my power tools, including my sliding table saw, table sander, shaper, both miter saws, and my european hinge machine. I used 4" pvc in a main overhead cable tray as the main trunk lines (all grounded of course because of static electricity and the potential of a dust explosion), then flexible pipe to each machine with a slide block valve to conserve vacuum for machines not in use. Works great!
