Have you heard about the San Antonio plant? In-house dental, in-house doctors and health care facilities, day care, etc., all for the workers and their families AND for the on-site supplier's workers. Sounds to me that Toyota workers don't need a union.

I think that's great!!!!!!!!!!!!

If more businesses treated their employees like family instead of numbers, one would take care of the other....

I certainly don't disagree with you guys (Tox and Bill) about treating employees fairly, however, when a union "convinces" a group of employees that the Company is screwing them over (regardless of whether it's true or not), then the ground rules change... regardless of what good things a company is doing for them. Last I checked, it's called sharing the wealth... reminds me a tad of the liberal democrats! Unfortunately, that's not how businesses work.

O.C. Welch, who owns a dealership near Savannah in Hardeeville, S.C., began airing the minute-long ad on a dozen stations in the area over the weekend. The ad sounds more like a talk-radio tirade than a sales pitch. "All you people that buy all your Toyotas and send that money to Japan, you know, when you don't have a job to make your Toyota car payment, don't come crying to me," Welch says in the ad. "All those cars are rice ready. They're not road ready."

LOL!!!

GO SEE OC.

Talk about "Don't come crying to me". I almost pee'd myself!

I remember when he got all f'd up and called his wife instead of his mistress. I think he needs money bad! lol

I drive by his dealership on Abercorn all the time.. With one finger out the moonroof.

Man, there are a lot of Tundras popping up on the road up here in the last 3 months.
Demographics arent what some might think either: 30-60yr old white males

I guess this might be a bad spot to say I kind of chuckled at the 'rice ready' comment...

Anyone know what the US content is on the tundra compared to Ford, Chevy, DOdge?
I thought I read somewhere that the Tundra was 80% while the Dodge Ram was 54%

Nice find.

GM Sierra/Silverado 85%
Toyota Tundra 80%
Ford F-series 80%
Dodge Ram pickup 68%
Chevy Avalanche 66%
Nissan Titan 65%
Toyota Tacoma 60%

How is Dodge truck listed as build in America? I thought they moved their production to Mexico.
