New Titan to be based on Dodge Ram

"No matter how you slice it, Nissan Titan buyers will have more options under an agreement with Chrysler to build the next-generation full-size pickup from the Dodge Ram architecture for sale in 2011.
Nissan will still design the next-generation Titan—the name may change—but its underpinnings will be all Ram for ease of assembly at Chrysler’s Saltillo, Mexico, plant. Nissan will stop building the current Titan in 2010."

Article

Maybe Squid can now combine the Ram and Titan sites.

This is how I see how the scenario eventually playing out.
Chrysler will go bankrupt and be purchased by GM which goes bankrupt and is purchased by Ford so eventually a Nissan Titan will be nothing more than a rebranded Ford F150.

As of April Fiat will own 35% of Chrysler with an option to buy 20% more from the old owner, Daimler.

Now that is makes the big 3 bailout even more disturbing. Our tax dollars are going to ultimately end up in Italy and Germany, great!

That's funny.

Nissan agreed to make the Subaru trucks I think. So Subaru will be buying trucks from Nissan, Nissan will be buying trucks made by Chrysler, who is owned by Fiat and Daimler, while GM wants to buy Chrysler.

Nissan is going to be making smaller cars for Chrysler in return.
