I was thinking about the range issue, but I never put 2 and 2 together with the use of accessories, etc. Good point.

There was a show on "Green Energy" that did a test drive of the Tesla Roadster. They were trying to see if they could drive around the Western most states and only use green energy places for recharging the Tesla. I seem to recall that they got stuck one day because they couldn't find a refueling station within range of the car. They eventually found one where they used biodiesel to run a generator and recharge the car. Electric cars are nice for those who want to "go green", but they often forget to see where the power in their house comes from. Most are coal burning electric power plants.
