I was an Independent until this election year. The thing is Montreuil, one of the most frustrating part about this whole situation is the fact people like me, and other hard working Americans are paying the price for those that were selfish and are receiving the bail out. I tried to buy a house in 2005, even with a VA Loan they wernt interested since I could not put money down.

But in Dec 2007 I bought my house for $215,900 with a VA Loan which was highly preferred and was sought after! Today my house is worth $178,000, by 2010 it is estimated, my house will be worth $128,000. I am current on my mortgage. Tell me why should I continue paying my mortgage? I obviously can afford it, but if I couldnt, the fed would just renegotiate my principal and payment. Where the blank is my justice? You bet I am angry, Obama is doing class warfare and I can tell you he is dividing us more then you think.

The Democrats are the problem, the Republicans have been nothing but a bunch of cowaring cowards not fighting back and taking it in the rear. Olbermann and Mathews are the worst offenders. Gotta love during the speech Obama was preaching unity and not looking back, well he had to make a reference and say we inherited this from the last administration. Funny part is his little leftist buddies had a huge part in it but they wont take credit for it. Up until this election I never watched FOXNEWS(you made an indirect reference too), I use to hate Hannity, O'Reilly and Limbaugh with a passion. I watched Olbermann and Mathews. Let me tell you, they forced me to change the channel,they saw a light and there messiah came down from heaven, and they all cried. Messiah my .

Did you ever read the book "Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States"? It was forced/recommended to me by one of my only conservative college professors back 2 yrs ago, he had one of his piers send me one of the few remaining copies (printed 1892), he was a former far left Liberal, know a die hard conservative. I am spiritual not religious but this book was interesting. Not until this election year did the book make sense, but man did it ever! IMHO our national motto for the Dems should be, "Ignorance is our bliss."

This entitlement BS, and political correctness is the real problem and it will ultimately boil over unless things are "changed for the better". Gun control for example will be one of the key issues, the book contradicts every leftist argueement for gun control. The 6yrs the Republicanss had control things changed, I think by 2010 the change back left will be two fold of what the Republicans accomplsihed in 6yrs. Because of political correctness is why people are staying quiet in fear of being called racist and everything else under the sun. Do you think if I set up a TV station called WET for example I could get away with it? I am not even gonna continue.

I thought those houses practically ran themselves with plenty to offer the average Joe!

I witnessed a Democrate turn into a Republican in 6 months.
My brother (R) and sister in law (Former D) bought a house and rented part of it out.
The renter had money, but just chose not to pay it. When my brother explained to his wife that they werent going to be able to take the trip they had planned when they bought the place because they kept giving the guy more time to pay (at her urging) and thier budget was starting to come up just over even, she got ????ed off and went and got the eviction notice herself. She's been a Republican ever since.
