    Soft Thumping/Clunking driving around

Iím at a loss here. 2010 tundra crewmax with the 5.7 with 125k on the clock. Been noticing a soft clunk/thumping sound driving around. It almost sounds cylindrical but it doesnít appear to be. So far Iíve replaced the wheel bearings on both sides, all the new brakes all around, the ECGS bushing fix in the front carrier, tires rebalanced and road forced by discount tire, and a new CV axle on the driver side. I drained the front and rear difs and didnít find anything major on the magnets, just a fine particle dust, no chunks or anything.I have no idea where else to turn. Iíve never experienced anything like this before.

Is it from the front or the rear? Is it when turning? When accelerating? When decelerating? When braking? Is it when cold only? Hot only? All the time?

The noise is coming from the front driver side. The noise is all the time. Cold, hot, doesnít matter. It happens no matter what. You can mainly hear it driving straight. Kicking it in 4x4 does nothing. We replaced both the upper and lower ball joint on the driver side and it quieted down a bit. Braking does nothing for it.

Maybe put it on a lift and put in in gear?

Wow, I'm at a loss on that one. Is it speed-sensitive? How frequent are you hearing the sound?

I think bryce is correct with the next diagnostic step to see if you can locate the origin of the sound.
