Unhappy Irritating squeak from engine

Ok I have had this problem for probably 6 months now where at idle there is a very noisy and irritating squeak coming from the engine. At first it sounded like the belt but my dealer replaced it to no avail. They stethoscoped all the pulleys and fan clutch and say none of them are causing the issue. They claim that it is due to my AFE intake creating too much pressure in the crankcase and the extra air is being pushed through the crankcase seal, causing a whistle effect. I can not understand how this at all can be an issue as the truck is still N/A I feel like Toyota is just giving me the runaround. Has anyone else had a strange squeak comming from their engine, or does anyone have any idea what this could be. I am stuck with no help until i put an OEM intake back on and unfortunatley i threw mine out. I have an 08 5.7L and they are claiming they have proven the intake is the problem baised on "Passed Experience" I am not totaly familiar with the magnuson moss act but i dont think they can refuse to keep looking for the problem yet.

Find someone local who put in a CAI and will let you have/borrow theirs for a few days.

I would take out your AFE CAI and put back the original and if it still makes the noise (which I think it would, bad seal) go back and have them fix it, or go to another dealer.

Same issue here!

I too have this squeak and have an AFE CAI. Interesting! I think I kept the factory intake and will replace this. I'll update this post with my findings.

Thanks!!!

I had the AFE intake too. The breather nipple that the larger hose plugs into is blocked off on a bunch of the intakes. All you need to do is just drill it out I tried AFE for a replacement but they would just not get back to me on the manner. I posted a video on youtube YouTube - Tundra Afe intake problem

Update: I removed the AFE intake and haven't had the squeak come back. It's been around one month. I just sold mine on ebay and decided to update this forum. I saw Bustaannut's post about the vacuum port. Mine wasn't completely blocked but only had a small hole at the bottom. I went ahead and drilled the hole completely out, so hopefully the buyer won't have any issues. Oh well, I really didn't like the low and mid power loss anyhow but the sound was very nice.
