| Ok I have had this problem for probably 6 months now where at idle there is a very noisy and irritating squeak coming from the engine. At first it sounded like the belt but my dealer replaced it to no avail. They stethoscoped all the pulleys and fan clutch and say none of them are causing the issue. They claim that it is due to my AFE intake creating too much pressure in the crankcase and the extra air is being pushed through the crankcase seal, causing a whistle effect. I can not understand how this at all can be an issue as the truck is still N/A I feel like Toyota is just giving me the runaround. Has anyone else had a strange squeak comming from their engine, or does anyone have any idea what this could be. I am stuck with no help until i put an OEM intake back on and unfortunatley i threw mine out . I have an 08 5.7L and they are claiming they have proven the intake is the problem baised on "Passed Experience" I am not totaly familiar with the magnuson moss act but i dont think they can refuse to keep looking for the problem yet. |
