I have sureched alot on this mod .
And found out that alot of people are having hard time getting this to work for them.
I found a different hardware method, that was made and tested for our Tundras navigation system.
Parts cost $15 dollars, and if you are not handy with soldering, the guy that came up with this can make you 1 for $50 dollars.
here is all the info you need to know.

Also here is a link for the step by step how to remove the Navigation system in tundra.

I think it works this way as a safety feature. Is it a factory nav unit or aftermarket? They dont want you performing these lengthy operations while you should be concentrating on driving. Im a toyota tech by the way, the only way to even entertain bypassing this is to wire hack the harness probably.

Sure. I know its done for safety reasons. But on long trips i dont want to pull over to be abel to change my destionation for one. let my wife do something while I am driving, without pulling off the road.

2010 Nav Override

I understand that Toyota has disabled the Override feature for the 2010 Tundra. Has anyone heard of a way that this can still be done?

I've heard the same thing Seabec. And for both of you, while I realize this involves some additional costs and some install time, you can get around this limitation by adding an aftermarket Nav/DVD HU (such as the Pioneer AVIC Z110BT), making a few bypass connections, and then selling the OEM Nav HU on eBay. You then have a completely bypassed system, which, IMHO, would be a superior unit to the OEM Nav unit.

On the other hand, I have seen some kits which will override or fool the Toyota built-in safeguards, although I noticed both links in forgottenzone's post just above are broken links.
