ARB Old Man Emu suspension

Are the OME coils and shocks from ARB just to correct for the weight of something like an ARB bumper on the front? Or do people use them for coil lifts as well?

ARB site:
Old Man Emu 4x4 Suspension Systems by ARB

Selling site:
Old Man Emu Suspension for Toyota Tundra Trucks- Wheeler's Off-Road, INC

Quote:
Provides approx 2.5" lift on stock Tundra's with 0-110lbs of extra weight on the front end.

Both, at least with jeeps over the years. Alot of my friends that use their rig as a trail ride/daily driver that wanted a modest lift with bumper/winch accomodations went with OME. Everyone that I've spoke with said the ride is superior to stock, I've ridden in and driven a few and can't argue that at all. Since I'm planning on possibly getting a Thunderstruck front bumper, if they get them on the market, the OME lift is definitely something I'll be saving for.

07-Current Tundra 2WD/4WD Front Lift Components

OME N192S Tundra Front Shock Set: 310.00/pr

OME 612 Tundra Front Coil Set: 151.90/pr
Provides approx 2.5" lift on stock Tundra's with 0-110lbs of extra weight on the front end.

OME 613 Tundra Front Coil Set: 151.90/pr
Provides approx 2.5" of lift on a Tundra 110-220lbs of extra weight on the front end.
Well, that price would be a LOT cheaper than going with adjustable coilovers and should definitely be better than spacers.

OME is a 3" lift (in the front) and comes with a choice of spring stiffness depending on whether or not a winch and heavy steel bumper will be used and if the truck has the heavier 5.7 engine. The front is approx. $600.00 and with the new leaf springs and shocks for the rear the total pkg. is approx. $ 1200.00. You can email (under "contact') at ARBUSA. They will also send a free (nice) catalog with all their other items.....snatch ropes, compressors, etc.

I haven't confirmed it yet, but I believe the above mentioned lift is 2 1/2" lift and not 3.

Here is the full list of parts you would need for the OME kit on a Tundra.

OME612 MD (or OME613 HD) front springs
N192S front shocks
CS055R rear leaf packs
OMEU53B ubolts
N193 rear shocks
FK32 rear fit kit

Total cost on that site above is about $1180.

These are cheaper than the Donahoe and Camburg kits because those have shocks you can rebuild. With OME, you just buy new shocks. Plus, for this price, you get the leaf packs as well with the OME. Supposedly, OME is a little smoother on road than the other two, but the other two might be better off the road. Also, the leaf spring kits are full replacement springs and are rated for a higher max load.
