Lift issues?

Hi eveyone! New to the site and a first time Toyota owner. I'm looking to lift and beef up my suspension. I've heard nothtin but good things about OME in general but I saw an earlier discussion about how changing angles w/ lifts. Any thoughts or experience with the OME kit for 2007+ Tundras would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The bad part about the OME is that if you use their coils, then you can only use their shocks. If you don't like the ride, then you can't just change the shocks for something smoother. All you can do is swap out the spring for another OME one. That said, I have not heard any complaints about the OME or the ride from it.

I can only speak for myself, but I lifter the front of my 08 4x4 crewmax with and 2.5 inch front level kit and a rear 1 inch block and have no problems at all. Just be care full about clearence inside the tire, toyota does not leave much room. With my stock rims I have 305/65/18 and have about 1/2 inch on the inside top of tire to the upper A-arm. That tire is 12.2 wide by 34 inches high.

Good luck!

Oh ya, you have to trim the stock skid plate a little on aech side to not rub the tires if you get bigger ones!! the plate is flimsy and easy to cut.

IF you don't plan to do allot of off roading, check out adjustable 5100 bilstein shocks.

They can give up up to 2.5 inch lift, and you get shocks in process for front of truck.

IF you are heavy off road guy then coilovers.

Thanks for the input guys! I'm not really an "off roader." However, living and recreating in NW Montana, I find myself on roads ranging from gravel to ORV status several times a week. I generally don't like tinkering too much with factory settings so I like OME's claim of an integrated system engineered to the specific vehicle. Although, it sounds like everyone on this site seems pretty happy with the spacers.

On a related note, what kind of changes in mileage are you guys w/ lifts seeing?

Thanks again.
