Your towing should be the same, but you might have to worry about trailer tongue weight.

| Awesome pics...I lowered my '07 short bed, reg. cab, sport edition with a McGaughy's 2/4-5 flip kit...It actually came out almost 3" front and 5 1/2" rear so I raised the rear shackle to make it about 4 1/2" in the back...can't show pics yet, some kind of downloadin problem with my computer. I have 20" black Antera rims with Toyo rubber...The TRD sway bar had to come off to clear and I had the heavy duty trailer hitch which I had to "notch" quite a bit so the shackles would clear. There is (was) a MAJOR PROBLEM with the lowering, the driveshaft is too close to the crossover frame support and will rub, actually grind, when there is just a couple hundred pounds in the bed, pulling a light trailer and going over any hump or bump in the road that bounces the truck. To help this problem I replaced the lowering shocks with air shocks (not bags), and made some taller bump stops. Haven't had the driveshaft problem since however, my load capacity is greatly reduced. |
