I agree. Both kits that are out now are 2/4-5, and I think it needs a 3/6 to get the best looks. Hopefully DJM or Belltech will see the need and step up to the plate soon.

My truck is 2.5" inches higher in the rear. Your's might be a little more so you might want to check the difference before dropping it. Nose higher than the rear wouldn't look good... for a truck.

Is there a kit just to drop the rear only about 2 inches or so?

Here's some pics of lowered rides...

Def photoshop, but you get the idea

Crappy cell phone shot, but has the TRD lowered with rims and calipers look of the red one

Everyones already seen this one

Not sure if lowered or not, subtle if so

From the Truckin magazine article. 2 inch drop front and 4-5 inch drop rear. I have the whole article available thru pics like this

Another photoshop

And yet another photoshop... EXTREME drop

That last one isn't photoshopped. Well, the truck doesn't really look like it is, but the sticker and the stars on it are. Looks like they removed the wheel well liners to make room for the wheels.

Some info on drops...

Description

This article is from the Toyota Tundra FAQ, by Steve Yee with numerous contributions by others.

3.13 - Lowering Kits (All)

Many owners have used lowering brackets to drop their Tundra at least 2 inches.
Also, TRD displayed a lowering kit at the SEMA show in 2000. It dropped the
Tundra 4" in the front and 6" in the rear. More details are to come out for
this modification.

Be aware that there is a load sensing valve for the rear brakes. If there is
any dropping of the Tundra, this valve needs to be readjusted. If you have a
Tundra repair manual, please refer to Volume 2, Section BR-39.
