You B brave man

I was told I could do the same thing with a travel trailer and a boat here in NC as the travel trailer is considered to be part of the vehice. But I'm not sure I would try. Happy trails.

Most states do not allow 2 ball towing ( 2 bumper pull trailers ). However, most do allow the first trailer to be a 5th wheel and the 2nd to be tongue pull. This is my problem, I want to go to California to cruise the big dunes, but can't because New Mexico and Arizona don't allow 2 ball towing. I'll have to sweet talk someone into either letting me sleep in their motor home or hauling my buggy over there.

I've pulled a couple double trailers through Kansas an Oklahoma. One was a bumper pull car trailer with car towing a car dolly with car. The other was very illegal and very dangerous. I was pulling a 53' 4 car hauler with 4 Jeep Liberty's and a dolly with a Jeep Liberty on it. I was driving a 1 ton Dodge like Squids. I was over the legal length. I had to take turns really really wide and make sure I didn't get myself into something I couldn't drive straight out of.

The maximum length of a captive convoy ranges from 65 feet in Arizona and California to 99 feet in Mississippi.
99 feet sounds like a long truck/trailers combo.
