'09 Tundra

Ok fellas I have been looking on info on the '09 Tundras. Have been unable to find anything.

So does anyone have any info on the '09 model? Color choices or anything new or discontinued for that matter?

Trying to decide wait for September for the new ones to come out or buy now.

Thank you in advance.

I doubt you will find much info before September.

That is what I was afraid of Sir. I don't want to haev buyers remorse hence why I was looking for any inside info.

By the way Sir love what you have done to your truck. I see a few of those mods taking place on mine once I get it.

I think they started building the 08s in October last year. So nobody, including the dealers, knew what the options on the 08s would be until around September.

I say that if you want the truck now, and you can get the exact truck you want, then get the truck and don't worry about what's offered next year. After all, that's more than 6 months wait and probably 9 months if you want to order a truck. I think on my truck, the main difference would have been a change in the rear window control switch. I like my switch better than the new ones. Course if you are waiting for a diesel Tundra or a longer bed on the CM, keep on waiting.

Thanks for the compliment. It's a work in progress and kinda changes as I go. Hardest mod decision to make is the wheels.

"According to TundraHeadquarters Toyota is going to release a hybrid version of the Tundra in 2009 as a 2010 model. The truck will feature the 4.7L V8 and a hybrid system that combined will put out 400 horsepower, gobs of torque and manage to achieve 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway."

Last I heard the hybrid will only be in the 4.7L CrewMax and will be targeted for those who want a family vehicle with very little towing.

Here is what the Sept. issue of Car and Driver says. "Two new packages include the TRD Sport with unique wheels and trim and the TRD Rock Warrior with a TRD off-road suspension and a black-and-white paint scheme".

Best deals are right now. I was going to wait but the $9000.00 in rebates changed my mind.

$9K in rebates? They really need to cut that out. Makes the rebate I got look like chump change.
